Checklist before Attending Interview

If you are about to attend an interview session, here is the checklist for you to have a look. More or less, having a checklist prior to attend you interview appointment will make you better prepared and can boost your confident for the session.

1# Know your Destination

Before you attend for any job interview, you need to know the exactly destination to go. You need to print out the map or maybe use GPS help such as Waze or Google Mapinfo to ensure you are on the right direction. Optionally, you can have a quick survey before the interview date and so you can discover where will you park your car and where is the main entrance. 

Arriving late for interview will blow away the chances for you to get good impression from your interviewers and you probably will be more nervous.  

2# Choose your Proper Attire

Most of hiring managers think that candidates with a proper attire will have a higher chances to get hired. Its all about first impression. if you are not sure about the dress code, nothing wrong if you make a short phone call to your recruiter to enquire about that matter. A simple tips, it is better for you to wear something step-up from their daily general attire such as, if they don't wear neck tie daily, you may put it on to make yourself different during the interview session. 


3# Research about the Company

A research about the company is very important. Company history and mission you can find it from their website. Besides, don't forget to check on social media such as the companies' facebook, twitter or youtube to get to know additional info which will enrich your knowledge about the company. Besides, you can use Linkedin to understand more about the company business and the people. 

4# Speak to the Current or the Past Employee

If you want to know about the working culture in the company, you should talk with their employee. The person that you can refer is someone who work not too long and not too new with the company. If the person work too long with the company, they probably already mix and well-adapted with the company culture and it can be very hard for them to explain your needs. If the person too new, they probably still trying to understand the working culture of the company and yet need to learn more.

So, the best person for you to refer if you want to know about the company is someone who had attached with the company in between one to two years which in this stage, they already get the culture and in the process to absorb it. How to know this people, you can use your networking (friends, etc) or maybe by using your Linkedin.com account. 

5# Predict the Question

Nowadays, we are so lucky when there are so many websites can guide or provide you with some question prediction before you attending any job interview. The reason why you need to predict the question is to ensure that you are well prepared for the interview session. Your well prepared answer should be a clever answer to show your interviewer that you are their best candidates for the position. 

Well, questions such as Introducing yourself, What to you know about our company? and what is your strength and weakness should be in your pocket and you should answer those questions brilliantly. 

6# Think of Your Own Question

Normally at the end of the interview session, the interviewer will ask as if you have any questions to ask them Most of candidates normally will give no as an answer. But actually, there are some clever questions that you can ask. The reason to ask a clever at the end of the interview session is a good opportunity for you to show them that you are really interested to apply for the job and this is a good chance for you to re-explain and unclear matters to your interviewers. 

7# Practice before the Interview Session

How about having a mocking interview before attending the real one? You can ask your friends of family to help you. Their constructive comments somehow will help you to improve yourself. So, practice make perfect!

8# Be Relax and Clear your Mind

Few hours before the interview session, you better have a good rest or sleep. Don't cramp yourself with a lot of memorizing, practicing or whatever because you will be more stress. It is advisable for you to clear your mind, sit back and relax.
